SBL Council
Distinguished biblical scholars lead the Society. Fourteen members are elected to serve on its governing board, the Council, which determines general policies and program initiatives and appoints committee members to assist in fulfilling the mission and in conducting regular business. Election to Council and appointment to a committee is a significant responsibility, and the dedicated service of volunteers contributes to the success of the Society.
