Virtual Meetings
In 2023, SBL hosted its first Global Virtual Meeting (GVM). Hosted entirely in a virtual environment, this meeting offered presentation formats, networking and mentoring possibilities, and avenues for accessibility that are not possible in an in-person meeting. Affiliate Organizations
SBL affiliates with organizations to further its mission to foster biblical scholarship. Any organization that supports scholarly analysis and open discussion and acts in a manner consistent with SBL’s vision statement and core values may request Affiliate status. While the Society’s Affiliates maintain and pursue their unique missions, participation of any party in the Society’s meetings is held to the same expectations as SBL program sessions.
